Buffetware of Unique Materials » Looks and Personality

Buffet Euro Buffetware of Unique Materials Michael Daab, corporate director of catering, and Kurt Wiksten, corporate F&B director, both of Affinia Hotels, searched for tabletop products with an accompanying level of customer service that matched Affinia’s distinctive style.

“Located in prime Manhattan and Chicago locations, our hotels are designed to suit particular lifestyles, including fitness, tranquility, and excitement. We met with Buffet Euro Inc. and Frilich USA at the 2006 hotel show in New York, were impressed with their product line, and immediately began what promises to be a great working relationship,” explains Daab.

Wiksten adds that Affinia now uses a variety of products from the Buffet Euro line, including “unique, modern, and stylish” combinations of wood and steel risers, efficient Unison Chiller Platters; and--of particular note--stainless and porcelain modular buffet pieces, “which allow us to offer a great deal of items to our clients while minimizing space.”

Adds Wiksten, “We’ve found, too, that the durable buffetware of Buffet Euro line holds up to the wear and tear of both banquet and restaurant use and is ultimately a perfect fit for our needs.”

Aside from the high quality and aesthetics of the buffetware, Daab explains that the customer service from Buffet Euro has been stellar. “It is imperative that a hotelier know his guests, and by that same token, we search for suppliers that can get to know us and our individual needs. Tim Ecker and Fabrizio Leonardi of Buffet Euro do just that,” says Daab. “Orders are received in record time, and even when we requested a different type of finish for some of the products, we had samples within weeks.”

There are many top hotel buffetware vendors out there that offer service pieces, both Daab and Wiksten agree. “But,” Daab adds, “as our guests are searching for hotels that provide more than just a bed, we are searching for suppliers who are intuitive to our needs, welcoming to our ideas, and seeking to create a long-term, mutually beneficial partnership. We have found that with Buffet Euro.”—ABA
