Excitement is steeping in Atlanta as the World Tea Expo sets to host
thousands from June 9–11 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
George Jage, president, World Tea Expo, explains, “With the hundreds
of new products in the tea industry, the World Tea Expo is the
place to see what is new and what is next.”
According to Tradeshow Week, The World Tea Expo is up and coming
too. They named the event one of the “Fastest 50 Growing
Shows in the U.S.,” which, “is testimony to the exploding growth of
the industry,” says Jage.
International companies exhibiting include: The Kenya Export
Promotion Council, Himalayan Tea Producers, the Tea Board of India,
the Sri Lanka Tea Board, and several Chinese vendors.
Focused educational tracks such as Hot Topics and Sales &
Marketing, among others, will guide attendees through the intricacies
of the world of tea. Presenters include Brian Keating of Mintel, editors
from Beverage Spectrumand Progressive Grocer, and Mike Ferguson
of the Specialty Coffee Association of America.
Highlights are keynote speaker and “Today Show” regular, Phil
Lempert, a grand Opening Night Reception, the Iced Tea Shake Off,
and Cooking with Tea presentations.
