successful Barnie’s and S&D
Coffee/Lobby Kiosks in every one of
the Lodgian properties where they’re
currently operational.
“Every one of the Barnie’s kiosks we have opened
is successful,” says David T. Robinson, VP, F&B, and
VP, operations, western region, for Atlanta-based
Lodgian, Inc.
Robinson describes the kiosks as full-service,
“grab-and-go” operations, selling coffee, milk-based
drinks, bottled drinks, bottled water, as well as select
food items.
In addition to serving its target market of in-house
guests, the Barnie’s and S&D Coffee/Lobby Kiosks
attract off-street traffic and also generate
business from banquet guests.
“We’re finding that the kiosks feed
off banquets as well,” Robinson
says.
Robinson attributes much of the
success of the Barnie’s kiosks to the
parent company.
“S&D Coffee is extremely professional,
easy to work with, and wants
our business," Robinson says. “They have a quality product,
tremendous training, and marketing.”
“It’s almost like a turn-key operation,” Robinson adds.
