Table Linen and Napery » Tough Customer
Between the laundry, staff, and customers, hotel table linen takes a beating. Hotel linen vendors are under more scrutiny than ever to ensure their fabrics can take the wear and tear.
Ali Ozer, Vice President and General Manager, the Scottsdale Plaza Resort, Scottsdale Arizona, is a fan of Milliken hotel linen and napery.
Ozer shares that after he started in Scottsdale, the banquet linen did not live up to their standards. Then, some overlooked Milliken linen was found in a storeroom. "It had been received and never used," says Ozer. "We broke it out and used it in room service; it was like night and day."
Milliken is now the only linen in the hotel.
Milliken produces a large assortment of designs, fabrics and colors for hotels, including Horizon banquet table linen, a 132-inch seamless tablecloth for use on large banquet- type tables and Lattice weave linens, with a patterned face and back unique for placemat fabrics.
