Table and Chair Storage » Zoning In
During construction, the Food and Beverage department at the Wynn Las Vegas approached
Midwest Folding Products to solve a storage problem in their catering warehouse. Midwest's
UpperZone™ table and chair storage system became the solution that allowed large quantities of these items to be stored overhead, while accommodating the storage of more than 80 portable
stages on the floor space beneath.
More than 2,700 Midwest banquet and meeting room tables and an additional 2,500 banquet
chairs are stored on two and three levels in drive-in rack bays that range from 14 to 42 feet in
depth. An electric powered, walk behind forklift is used to store and retrieve the loaded trucks on
the upper levels. Up to four trucks at a time, loaded with tables or chairs, may be towed throughout
the massive facility with powered tow vehicles.
Midwest Folding Products UpperZone™ storage system was developed to address the challenge
of today's largest hotels, resorts and casinos. Because these properties are costly to build,
developers and architects typically limit the square footage devoted to the non-revenue producing
areas of the property devoted to equipment storage.
With the UpperZone™ hotel storage system, floor space requirements may be reduced by as
much as 50% when UpperZone™ trucks are stored in multi-level, drive-in racks.
