The planning, production and execution of more than $38 million in catering revenue is not an easy task, but Harvey Stern and the rest of the staff at Bellagio Tower Hotel in Las Vegas perform at their best. They are aided by their relationship with Villeroy & Boch.
Stern, director of catering at the Bellagio Tower Hotel, Las Vegas, approached Villeroy & Boch with specific china needs, particularly for banquet dinnerware and tableware. "They gave us what we wanted through different sizes and selections," explains Stern. "The Bellagio Tower benefited from the knowledge and experience of Villeroy & Boch. They performed sample firings until we found what we wanted."
Villeroy & Boch was also there with the needed follow-up for the hotel. The fine china has proven durable enough to stand up to high volume banquet dinnerware requirements.
Stern acknowledges that hotel dinnerware and tableware is a competitive industry, but few companies can compete with Villeroy & Boch's ability for hotelware design, production, and customer service. "Villeroy understands that great culinary productions demand an equally high quality canvas on which to be presented. That canvas must withstand repetitive presentation without any loss of grace or beauty."
Tracing the company's beginnings more than 250 years to 1748, Villeroy & Boch began producing ceramic tableware in the village of Audun-Le-Tiche in the Duchy of Lorraine.--KB
