Nestle Waters bottled water for hotels GIVING GUESTS WHAT THEY WANT, especially when they request it, is one of the best tips Jason Andrews can offer to stimulate bottled water sales at lobby locales.

Andrews, F&B director, Doubletree Guest Suites, Chicago, says guests request bottled water:

  • With easily recognizable brand names like Nestle Waters; no-names don't sell.
  • With sportpack tops versus screw caps.
  • In spring, sparkling, and flavored varieties.
  • Competitively priced.

  • To grab-and-go, no waiting tolerated.
To meet this demand, about seven months ago Andrews created "Combinations to Go" prepared salads and sandwiches, plus a beverage at no extra charge.

"The beverage of choice, hands down, is bottled water," Andrews says. Before these combos were created, coffee was the mainstay at the kiosk, which is open daily 6 A.M. to 9 P.M. --SBH
