Maywood Furniture Corp. has been home to the "original" folding banquet
table since 1930 when Mr. DeSaussure of DeSaussure Equipment
(Maywood's parent company) manufactured the first folding banquet
table and acquired his first hotel customer. Although known as the Howe 200
Series, Maywood manufactured this product. In February 2000, it became available
directly from Maywood.
Chris Miller, assistant manager, convention set-up, Hyatt Regency Grand
Cypress, Orlando, Florida, explains how Maywood banquet tables stack up
against the competition. "They are light, yet durable," says Miller. "They are quite
competitive pricewise, and the service is outstanding. Maywood are some of the
best tables I've used."
Shirley Swintek, director of catering, Hilton Fort Lee, New Jersey, uses a variety
of Maywood tables. "I wish we had all their tables,"
she says. She singles out their quality, sturdy crimped
aluminum edge, and all-plywood construction with
powder-coated legs.
Maywood also is recognized for
its personal, experienced, and courteous customer
service; shortest industry lead time; and custom orders.
Maywood's website, www.maywood.com, includes
the popular "Design Planning" feature with quick
design guidelines to simplify future event planning.
