Enodis plc received top recognition from the National Restaurant Association in two categories in this year’s Kitchen Innovation Awards. A blue-ribbon panel of judges, representing multiunit operators and design consultants from companies, including Disneyland Resorts, Quiznos Subs, ARAMARK, and McDonald’s, selected winners in a total of 18 groups. Cleveland Range and Lincoln, both Enodis companies, received top recognition in their respective categories. Specific products honored: The Convotherm Combi Oven-Steamer, selected because of the many ways it simplifies the kitchen, and the Lincoln Conveyor Toaster, (model CCP 2116 IR), featuring a parabolic cavity roof design combined with convection heating and a heat-containing air curtain.
ReServe Interactive was selected as the vendor partner for reservation and table management software by the Melting Pot Restaurants, Inc. The Melting Pot’s unique dining concept presents owners with distinct challenges. The upscale and intimate restaurant, offering fondues cooked at the table by guests, requires fondue pots be heated by fixed induction burners, creating a restriction in arranging tables to accommodate various party sizes. Also, the four-course dining experience requires longer seating times. If guests are not seated at specific times, table inventory is underutilized, resulting in lost revenue. With the ReServe Interactive system, franchise owners gain an understanding of dining durations by party size and then determine the most optimal reservation time slots during peak hours. Once the system collects a history, it calculates and reports average table turns so restaurant managers can set reservation parameters for optimal seating times, as well as manage server covers.
